Joint Activities Committee
The Joint Activities Committee is to be the student organization governing extracurricular activities at Cooper Union, having jurisdiction over the process of funding student groups and acting to promote liaisons between the students of the three schools.

Society of Automotive Engineers (mini-baja):
A team of three individuals - Jamie Cohen, Joshua Feinstein, and James Haggerty decided that Cooper Union needed to get into off-roads racing. They officially launched the SAE Cooper Union Student Section in 1993, and the Cooper teams have not looked back since then.

Every year, the team tries to improve the previous year's design. With continued hard work and dedication on the part of the students, this project has remained active at Cooper Union.

Society of Automotive Engineers (formula)
The Cooper Union chapter of the FSAE competition was begun in 2004 by four mechanical engineering seniors, Paul Jarymowycz, Paul Mulyk, Terence McCormick and Anya Tertytsia. Looking for a senior design project that would allow them to apply their engineering knowledge to all instances of car design, the four instituted the program.

While we may not have the shear brute force of manpower that other schools have, we would like to believe we have a certain quality over quantity, if you will. Everyone involved in this project is passionate about it. Everyone works. Everyone learns. Cooper Union students are dedicated, and we are just now turning this dedication towards the FSAE competition.

Society of Women Engineers
The Society of Women Engineers aims to stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders and expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life.
